Ballyhoo Media

Ballyhoo Media is Candace Sepulis - A firecracker & expert in visual communications (conceptual development, illustration, design and execution), Candace brings the creative spark to any project.

A powerhouse of raw talent and specialist in conceptual and architectural vector illustration, Candace "jimmie" Sepulis started her first business in grade four, wrote full-length screenplays at age 14, and, when she was 22, produced a short film that travelled to festivals around the globe. With boundless energy and resourcefulness, Candace has built her image and company, Ballyhoo Media, to be one of the most innovative and sought-after creative think-tanks in southern Ontario. Candace has truly carved a niche of her own - she doesn't just draw pictures or lay out elements, she sees each project holistically. She strategizes, conducts research for, creates and executes award-winning concepts and solutions that uniquely reflect her clients and convey their messages to the world.

Candace is fully bilingual. She earned a BA in philosophy (University of Guelph, 2002), which developed her creative problem solving skills and ability to generate fresh, out-of-the-box ideas. While working full-time as an artist and graphic designer, she returned to school in 2007, obtaining a Bachelor of Environmental Design (architecture) at Dalhousie University, which greatly influenced her design process as well as further refined her illustration skills.

Along with being a successful business owner and designer, Candace has also fashioned an illustrious career as a visual artist - her art has appeared in galleries across Canada, including in Toronto, Guelph, Halifax and Charlottetown. Also interested in skill-sharing and education, Candace also presents workshops and lectures on graphic design as well as silkscreening, creative marketing, zine making and animation to children, teens and adults.

In her spare time, Candace loves kayaking and time outdoors. She is also very involved in her community and has been active in numerous local organizations, including as a past executive board member of both Ed Video Media Arts Centre and CFRU (University of Guelph radio), and is currently on the Board of Directors for the Hillside Festival.
